Town of Union Voters Head To Polls For Primaries In Both Parties

TOWN OF UNION, N.Y. -

Voters are heading to polls for state and local elections. In the Town of Union, there are candidates on the ballot for both parties. One race to watch is for the Town Supervisor seat.

The republican candidates are current Town Board member Frank Bertoni and Kenneth Del Bianco, who worked for the town for 20 years as an engineer and then as Commissioner of Public Works.

Newcomer Rick Materese, a former teacher and director of the Boys and Girls Club, is on the democratic line against Frank Palmisano. Palmisano lost to outgoing supervisor Rose Sotak in 2014.

Sotak announced in May that she would not be running for a fourth term in office.
