High School Football Is Officially HerePosted: Updated:
Binghamton, N.Y. - The 2018 High School Football season is officially here. The Chenango Valley Warriors host the Johnson City Wildcats under the lights for the very first time. The Warriors are the last of the local teams to finally see what playing home on Friday night under the lights is all about.
Lights being installed in the stadium gave the Warriors something beyond football to look forward to, especially after coming off a losing season in 2017. The Warriors were not able to win a game, falling 0-8. But, when speaking to head coach Jay Hope, him and his team are ready to welcome the season with open arms. The Warriors have 15 seniors this season.
On the other side of the field are the Johnson City Wildcats. The Wildcats drop down to Class B this year after competing in Class A. Johnson City also didn't have a great 2017 season as they finished 3-6.
