"It definitely feels special, it means a lot" - Tim TebowPosted: Updated:
Today is a little different than yesterday because Tim Tebow is now an All-Star. The outfielder will be heading to his first All-Star game on July 10-11 in Trenton, New Jersey. Tebow and four other Rumble Ponies will represent Binghamton Rumble Ponies at the 2018 Eastern League All-Star Classic.
When you look at Tebow's overall numbers throughout the season, they certainly don't grab your attention, however, his numbers throughout the month of June certainly do. In his 67 games in his first season at Double-A, Tebow has hit .261 with five home runs and 30 RBI. Throughout 22 games in June, he has produced a .318 batting average with seven extra-base hits. In his last 10 games, Tebow is hitting .375 with nine RBI.
When Tim Tebow was asked how it feels to be an All-Star he responded by saying, "It definitely feels special, it means a lot, but I think there are a lot of guys on our team that have great seasons that deserve it, but I think there's a lot of guys that deserve it on our team and I'm grateful to have the opportunity."
"It's a great honor and it means a lot, but for me, we're getting ready for the next day.... we go in the cage and go to work and it's no different that any other day, you gotta continue the process because I'm not where I want to be, I feel like I'm getting closer" said Tebow.
