"Our primary goal is getting our players to the highest level of baseball" - Luis Rojas

Posted: Updated:

It's not often you hear coaches stress the importance of an individuals success over the teams success, but minor league baseball is an entirely different story.

"Their ultimate goal is to go to the best level of baseball that's played in the world, so we need to get them at that level" said Rumble Ponies manager Luis Rojas. As a team, the Ponies have dropped 11 of the last 13 games, but when you look at individual statistics, Tim Tebow is making all the right adjustments.

"I think I'm improving at seeing pitches and leaving some bad pitches, trying to be more direct with the baseball and do more damage with it" said Tebow.

Tim Tebow is hitting .355 over the last 10 days and .310 for the month of June with 11 hits and 6 RBI.

Luis Rojas credits Tim's recent success to his work ethic. "We go at it every day and his ethic is one that sets an example, so that's why he's doing what he's doing right now... you can see month to month how he's progressing because of how hard he works" said Rojas.
