Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of three in Broome County

JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. -

State police arrested three people on Monday after finding Fentanyl and other narcotics in their vehicle during a routine traffic stop in Johnson City. 

The stop took place around 3 p.m. near Airport road in which then officers located a hidden compartment in the vehicle where the drugs were stored.

Coren M. Walker, 27 of the Bronx,  Scott R. Layton, 40 of Johnson City, and Giovanni R. Foster, 24 of Johnson City, were arrested after officers found about 2 ounces of Fentanyl, Oxycodone tablets, 3.5 grams of heroin, 1 Suboxone strip, 23 Fentanyl strips, under 25 grams of marihuana and close to $6,000 in cash. 

The three men were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia. They were taken to the Broome County Jail without bail.
