Maine-Endwell, N.Y. -This year was Joe Mancinelli's first year as the softball head coach at Maine-Endwell. Mancinelli coached Binghamton for the lat seven years before retiring.

"I got the call about this job and it was too good of an opportunity to pass by." Said Mancinelli

After bringing the girls to a 16 and 3 regular season record, winning the Class A title and now marching on to the semi-finals, he's definitely reached expectations of such a dominant program.

"Not knowing anybody and knowing the expectations for what this team has accomplished made it a little daunting." Said Mancinelli

However, bringing a little bit of a different coaching style to this year's young team has certainly paid off.

"Having a new coach and learning new things in a different way can definitely help us out with different points of the games and different perspectives." Said Emily Hess.
