Eleventh Inning Rally Seals The Deal For Ponies

Posted: Updated:

Due to Scott Copeland being called up to the New York Mets, Mickey Jannis had to come up big at the mound tonight for the Rumble Ponies and indeed he did. Jannis tossed seven strong innings where he went through four scoreless frames before giving up one run in the fifth and one run followed after in the sixth.

Rumble Ponies were down 2-0 heading into the 7th inning and it was Patrick Mazeika who delivered a two-run double to go ahead and tie up the game.

Binghamton didn't find their bats until the eleventh inning where Levi Michael, Peter Alonso and Kevin Taylor all drove in runs in their five-run eleventh inning to shut the door on the Erie SeaWolves.

The Rumble Ponies defeated Erie 7-3. They conclude their series in Erie tomorrow morning at 11:05 AM.
