Keishorea Armstrong Heads To Third NCAA ChampionshipPosted: Updated:
Keishorea Armstrong will leave Binghamton University this year as the greatest Women's track and field athlete to come out of BU. Quite possibly the greatest female athlete in general, according to Track and Field head coach Mike Thompson. Although, he might be a little bias.
"I think her legacy will be that she will leave here as the greatest Women's track and field athlete, maybe the greatest female athlete in any sport at Binghamton, possibly, it could be debated for sure."
"She's the total package.. student, athlete and just a great person." Said head coach Thompson.
As Armstrong's time here at Binghamton University dwindles down, she has one more stop to make and that is the NCAA Championship. Armstrong qualified for the long jump at the East Regional meet as she placed 12th. "Third times a charm" she said when talking about this being her third appearance in the NCAA Championship.
"I think this will be the first time I go there feeling more confident and more like I belong."
"I think overall it's just going to be a matter of me feeling more relaxed in my abilities coming into to this one" Said Armstrong.
Keishorea and her coach Mike Thompson will travel to Eugene, Oregon Monday June 4th and she will compete in the NCAA Championship on Thursday, June 7th at 5:30 p.m. local time.
