Bainbridge Hosts "Regatta's Got Talent"

Posted: Updated:

"Regatta's Got Talent" took place in Bainbridge at the canoe regatta tonight. Jeff Wood and Wendy Wood, owners of Northern Star Productions, hosted the talent show.

"The talent show is something that has been going on, this is our fourth year, it's the second year in this format. The canoe regatta has been very gracious in helping us find local talent to bring to the stage" says Jeff Wood, Owner and Operator of Northern Star Productions

The performers were divided up into three different categories Youth, ages 11 and under, Juniors, ages 12 - 17 and Adults, 18 and over. The attendees can expect to see guitarists, dummers, dancers, singers and more. They also offer karaoke, with over 160,000 songs to choose from. Performances are limited to five minutes each and are judged by three judges. The judges base their scores on tone, pitch or creativity, audience reaction and overall entertainment value. The maximum score a performer can get is ten points. The winner from each category will receive a trophy.

The couple plans on hosting more talent shows at the Canoe Regatta in the future.

"So just keep watch for us out at the local fairs as well. We do Chenango, Otsego and Delaware county fairs" says Jeff Wood.

Jeff and Wendy Wood would like to thank the Bainbridge Chamber of Commerce and the Canoe Regatta for sponsoring the event.
