Man Dies After Motorcycle Crash

JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. -

On Tuesday night at 7:34 PM, the Johnson City Police responded to a report of motor vehicle accident on NYS Route 201 South, at the on ramp from NYS Route 17 West. 

The accident involved a motorcycle which struck a car that was south bound on Rte 201. 

The operator of the motorcycle, a 75 year old male from Binghamton, was transported to UHS Wilson Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. 

No one in the car was reportedly injured. 

The operator of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet.  The on ramp and a portion of Route 201 South were closed for approximately 3 hours while the accident was investigated.  No tickets were issued and no further information will be released subsequent to the investigation at this time.

  The Johnson City Police Department was assisted by the Broome County Sheriff’s Office and the NYS Police and their Collision Reconstruction Unit.
