Rumble Ponies Back In TownPosted: Updated:
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies were back in town after going 4-2 on their road trip. However, mother nature wasn't on the same page as the Rumble Ponies today causing an almost two-hour delay. The Ponies game against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats didn't get started until 8:20 pm.
But, Tim Tebow started the game off right for the Rumble Ponies with a 3 run homer into left field putting Binghamton on the board with a 3-0 lead in the 2nd inning.
Tebow spoke to the media prior to tonight's game about a variety of things. One of them regarding focusing on how he performs in the outfield. "We've been more focused on that the entire season just being able to work with manager Luis Rojas out there and get more drills and get more comfortable making throws and catching up on lost time." Said Tebow
Tebow was asked what he feels like he still needs to work on in left field. Tebow stated, "Being as comfortable as you can with every read and taking the exact right angles right off the bat... you try and get the best jump you can and the best read but that doesn't always happen so it's so important to take a great angle to the ball and give yourself a chance with the angle that you're taking."
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies defeated the New Hampshire Fisher Cats tonight 10-6 and completed their second come-from-behind victory in the last three days as they scored seven of the game's final eight runs.
Binghamton (13-11) continues their four-game home stand on Friday night against New Hampshire.
