Hundreds gathered in Endicott Wednesday night to honor this 2018’s, Distinguished Citizen.
The Boy Scout of America honored President/CEO of Visions Federal Credit Union Ty Muse with its 2018 Broome County Distinguished Citizen Award.
The annual fundraising dinner was held at The McKinley.
Broome County’s Distinguished Citizen Award recognizes individuals who set positive examples for others and demonstrate care for their community.
Muse, a former Boy Scout, was also recognized by Baden-Powell Council and other business and community leaders for his achievements and service to the community.
The award recipient has a message for today’s young Scouts.
“Dream big. Dream bigger than you ever thought. Everything is possible. I look at myself coming from modest means and now I am the CEO of Visions Federal Credit Union. To me, that just proves that with hard work, all the things they teach you in the Boy Scouts, if you apply them and you’re a helpful person and you’re a considerate person, then you can achieve anything you want in life."
