Help Make a Wish with Dunkin' DonutsPosted: Updated:
Members of Make a Wish are partnering with Dunkin, starting Monday, for a week-long fundraising campaign that will benefit local children, who suffer from critical illnesses, giving them a chance to live out their dreams.
At participating Dunkin Donuts (in the areas shown above), throughout the Greater Binghamton area, you can donate a minimum of $1.00 and receive a Make a Wish "star donut." And give a child a chance to make a wish come true.
"We hope that everyone who makes the $1 donation understands that they are truly impacting the lives of children right here in the community, who have critical illnesses. And their support enables us to say 'yes' to their wishes," said Diane Kuppermann, President & CEO of Make a Wish Central New York.
The fundraising announcement was made today at the Dunkin Donuts' 211 Main St, Binghamton location, where two young boys who also were granted wishes came out to support the partnership between the charity group and donut franchise.
Kalen and Kyan Kulas, both suffer from a nervous system disease, but that has never stopped them from enjoying life. After the Make a Wish foundation gave Kalen a wheel-chair accessible castle-themed treehouse, and Kyan a camper for weekend adventures in Port Crane, the two brothers decided to kickoff the fundraiser with a box of donuts (and a bunch of smiles).
The campaign, as well as the star donuts, will be available until May 7, 2018.
The Make a Wish foundation is a non-profit organization, dedicated to creating life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. If you know any child that would like to a have a wish come true, visit their website or call (315) 475-WISH for more details.
