TOWN OF CHENANGO, N.Y. -

New York State Police found a missing two-year-old boy from South Carolina after pulling over a vehicle on Interstate 81 in the town of Chenango Friday morning.

Troopers say they found the child with a gunshot wound to his legs in South Carolina and had not received medical attention.

State police received information from Horry County Police in South Carolina that the family might be passing through Broome County, as well as a description of the vehicle the child may have been in.

Troopers spotted a vehicle that matched the description and stopped it near Exit 6 in the town of Chenango just before 1 a.m. Friday morning.

South Carolina residents Holly G. Dew, 24, and Randi L. Session, 23, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

The two-year-old child was taken to Wilson Hospital where he is in stable condition.  Broome County Child Protective Services was contacted and two other children were turned over to CPS.

Both Dew and Session were arraigned this morning in the town of Chenango Court and were remanded to the Broome County Jail on $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 bond.

The Horry County Police Department will be lodging their own charges in the case and are continuing their investigation.
