Arrest Made In Attempted Robbery At Robot City

Thursday afternoon members of the Binghamton Police Department; Detective Division / Juvenile Unit while being assisted by Detectives of the Broome County Sherriff’s Office Warrant Squad, did locate and arrest two male suspects for Attempted Robbery of the Robot City Games Store. 

The suspects were located on Murray Street near Clinton in the City of Binghamton.  Both suspects fled by foot from Detectives in an attempt to evade arrest.  The attempted robbery occurred on Monday March 26, at 126 Clinton Street. 

Both male suspects are juveniles; being 14 and 15 years of age.  Both are residents of the City of Binghamton and were charged with Attempted Robbery Second Degree, a Class D Felony.  Both were arraigned in Broome County Family Court on 03/29/18.  Both were remanded by the court to the secure youth facility; Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Facility in Syracuse, NY. 

The handgun used in the attempted robbery was recovered during the course of the investigation and determined to be a realistic replica BB type pistol.  No booking photographs or identity of arrestees will be released due to age.
