Tim Tebow Is Officially A Rumble Pony

Posted: Updated:

It's official, Tim Tebow is now a Binghamton Rumple Pony. The Rumble Ponies released a press release today confirming that the outfielder will wear #15 in a Rumble Ponies jersey for the 2018 season.

However, as excited as the Rumble Ponies are, they are making sure that Tim Tebow is treated like every other player on the Rumble Ponies. Managing director "JB" Baynes stated, "He is slightly different because there is a little more excitement with him, but then again the rest of the team is coming and we're going to welcome them with open arms."

Different he certainty is. A 2007 Heisman trophy winner and an ex-NFL quarterback who's passion for god has certainty interested people around the world, as well as here in Binghamton. I'm sure the fans and community will be hoping for some Tim Tebow sightings as he moves here within the next week, but "JB" Baynes thinks those sightings may be a little rare. "The players typically don't have a lot of free time, they're either playing a baseball game or coming to stretch, batting practice or they're on the road, so the amount of leeway is minimal, but that will be a decision for Head Coach Luis Rojas and the rest of the coaching staff to determine when they have this time." Stated "JB" Bayne.

However, the Rumble Ponies staff are more thrilled that the New York Mets have the confidence and trust in the Rumble Ponies organization to develop their top prospects, such as Tim Tebow. The staff is "pretty proud that we have stepped up the last couple seasons and have showed them that we take good care of their players and are really appreciative that they sent him here and let us take care of him and the rest of the players."

They may be very serious about making sure all players are treated the same, but the teams official store at NYSEG stadium may say otherwise as there are already Tim Tebow jerseys and shirts hanging on the walls with his official number, # 15. "I'm excited to take the next step in my baseball career by playing for the Rumble Ponies," Tebow stated in an article published on mlb.com.
