Hundreds of people brought a national movement to Broome County today, by rallying in 'March For Our Lives' a movement dedicated to ending gun violence. Demonstrators marched from Binghamton High School to the Federal Office Building in downtown Binghamton.

The movement was organized by local students and Citizen Action of New York in response to the Parkland School shooting last month. Raven Lucas, a Binghamton High School student and member of Citizen Action, said that individuals can create political change.

"The reason I'm here today is because, if not me or any of us, who else? We've sat and waited for politicians to take action for far too long and now it's up to us to be the change that we want to see." - Raven Lucas, Binghamton High School Student

Mirroring the national march in Washington D.C., marchers of all ages came together to demonstrate their voice through chants and signs. They observed three minutes of silence to honor the Parkland victims.

"We have to take time to listen to each other and that's how change will actually occur." - Raven Lucas, Binghamton High School Student
