Binghamton Bulldogs are Heading to Texas

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -

The Binghamton Bulldogs (23-3) are heading to Texas for the American Basketball Association (ABA) Elite 8 playoffs, after knocking off the defending ABA Champions' Jersey Express, Saturday, 111-102.

Early in the contest it was a back and forth game. After the Bulldogs took the first lead of the night, the Express would answer with a scoring run, only to have Binghamton reclaim it.

Leading the team in assists and points, Bulldogs' Jimmy Gray finished with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. His teammate, Brooklyn native and former Binghamton University star Kyrie Sutton, netted 20 points and 5 rebounds in the win over the Express.

Earning honorable mentions in the victory; David "Say" Haye from Spring Valley, NY, scored 18 points, and home-town Binghamtonian Ralph Bucci walked away from the night with a double-double, 10 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists.

Moving onto the ABA Elite 8 Playoffs, the Binghamton Bulldogs' next game will be April 3, Wednesday, in Austin, Texas.
