Nineveh Woman Charged With Forgery

The Broome County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 35-year-old Nineveh woman after she stole a number of personal checks from a family member and then used the checks to drain over $6300.00 from the family member’s bank account.

On Monday Detective Leon Brown arrested Jessica L. Schultz and charged her with numerous felony level charges as a result of his investigation. Over the course of several weeks in February and March of this year, Schultz forged the family member’s signature and wrote numerous checks against the bank account. 

Schultz was charged with the following felonies :

1 Count - Grand Larceny 3rd degree

16 counts - Criminal Possession of a forged instrument

16 Counts - Identity theft 1st degree

Schultz was already incarcerated at the Broome County Sheriff’s Office Correctional facility on other charges and will be arraigned at a later date at a later time.
