51st Binghamton St. Patrick's Day Parade Draws Thousands

Posted: Updated:

Despite Friday's winter storm, the annual Binghamton St. Patrick's Day Parade went on for the 51st year.

Saturday's chilly weather wasn't enough to keep people away. Thousands celebrated along the route that started at St. Mary's, traveled down Court Street one mile, and ended on Main Street.

The parade is an event that residents look forward to year after year.

"This year is just going to be the same as always. It's always a fun time for people of all ages to come out and spend time with their community and just have a good time." - Jacopo Moroni, Binghamton Residents

"I know they do it everywhere else, the St. Patrick's Day Parade, but there's no parade like Binghamton's parade." - Jeff Correll, Binghamton Resident

Approximately 90 groups participated in this year's parade.
