UHS held their Heartsaver Saturday event this morning, teaching people the skills to help save a life.
The basic skills of CPR were taught as well as how to use an Automated External Defibrillator to the class of nearly 60 people.
The free course focused on the life-saving skills aimed to help those in need before EMS can arrive.
"If somebody were to be unresponsive and down, having a heart attack, having any issue at all, we want them to feel comfortable jumping in. We try to take that pressure off of them a little bit and teach them what to do, make them comfortable with it." - Susan Hogan, Nurse Educator at UHS
Hogan said UHS hopes to hold more events like Heartsaver Saturday in the future.
