Chenango Forks' hockey wins in OT over Johnson CityPosted: Updated:
Sunday, the Johnson City (JC) Wildcats hosted the Chenango Forks (CF) Blue Devils at the SUNY Broome Ice Center, falling to Forks by a score of 4-3.
Although the Wildcats were able to climb to a 3-1 lead in the second period, thanks to an assisted goal by Logan Culver (10:31), it was the Blue Devils' Kieran Horton, a Windsor native, that really shined on the ice.
Giving CF their first goal of the night in period 2 (10:52), Horton continued to showcase his skills, all across the rink, and set up multiple shots for his teammates to bring them back in the final minutes of regulation.
It was the Blue Devils winning the overtime shootout, gaining ground in the standings with a record of 6-5, and causing the Wildcats record to fall on 2-7 on the season.
