Student choruses sing travelers home at Asheville AirportPosted: Updated:
ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Local schools and musicians are serenading airport travelers this holiday season at Asheville Regional Airport.
Kids from the Glen Arden Elementary School Chorus delighted travelers Tuesday morning as part of the "Sounds of the Holidays" program.
It brings school choruses and local musicians in to serenade flyers with seasonal music.
"We come out here because I like to give my students the opportunity to be able to sing in various community areas and we also get to spread some holiday cheer," said Rachel Bumsted, the school's chorus director. "The students just love it and I know our parents love it, so we get to get out here and sing for everybody."
After the airport songs, the kids from Glen Arden went over to sing at Givens Estates.
Students from rosman high school will sing Wednesday at 11 a.m.
The Sounds of the Holidays program runs through December 28, 2017
