Binghamton Woman Charged With MurderPosted: Updated:
Binghamton Police charged 27 year old Liz J. Ayala of Binghamton with Murder in the Second Degree. Ayala is suspected of stabbing her boyfriend, 26 year old Gerrard G. Davis, during a domestic dispute.
At approximately 8:34 am Tuesday, Binghamton Police responded to 97 Broad Avenue after receiving a 911 call. Davis was transported to an area hospital for emergency medical treatment and shortly thereafter died. Ayala was arraigned in City Court and remanded to the custody of the Broome County Sheriff Office. Davis and Ayala have an extensive history involving domestic incidents.
Binghamton Police were assisted by Broome County Child Protective Services as there were two young children home at the time of the incident. The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact to contact the Binghamton Police Detective Bureau at (607) 772-7080.
