Binghamton Man Charged in Weapons,Drug Bust

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -

On Thursday afternoon members of the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force executed a search warrant at a Grand Blvd address in the City of Binghamton. Investigators recovered a loaded .22 caliber revolver, a loaded .45 caliber pistol (which had the serial number defaced), additional ammunition for each firearm, a stun gun, 14 grams of powder heroin, 88 glassine envelopes of heroin, a small amount of crack cocaine, $1,569 in US Currency, as well as numerous items used in the preparation and distribution of narcotics. The subject of the search warrant, Dondre Farmer age 27 of Binghamton, was located on Grand Blvd and taken into custody without incident. Farmer is being held at the Binghamton Police Department pending his arraignment. Farmer is being charged with violating the following New York State Penal law codes:

- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, in violation of section 220.16, a Class B Felony (three counts)
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, in violation of section 220.16, a class C Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, in violation of section 265.03, a class C Felony (two counts)
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, in violation of section 265.02, a class D Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, in violation of section 265.01, a class A Misdemeanor
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, in violation of section 220.03, a class A Misdemeanor
- Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree, in violation of section 220.50, a Class A Misdemeanor

The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force is comprised of members of the Village of Endicott Police Department, Broome County Sheriff’s Office, the City of Binghamton Police Department and the Village of Johnson City Police Department.
