Dog Park Gets A Makeover

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -

Some four-legged citizens of Broome County now have extra space to roam. The Cheri A. Lindsey Bark Park underwent and expansion with the help of a 15 thousand dollar grant from the Community Development Block Grant Funds. 

Improvements include jumps, hoops, and tunnels for agility training, as well as water fountains and landscaping. Mayor Rich David says the project is meant to encourage an active community.

"City Hall is doing its part to promote recreation and support active community members, including our fury, four-legged ones," says Mayor Rich David,

Chair members of the Bark Park say it's a facility that dog owners should take advantage of to socialize and exercise their pets.
