Suspect in Animal Cruelty Case Gets One Dog Back

By Jason Weinstein.
A man charged with animal cruelty is getting one of the dogs involved in his case back.

Anthony Thompson of Binghamton was granted possession of one of seven dogs removed in February from a home in North Norwich. The Court ordered six of the dogs be turned over to the Dog Control Officer, who is in the process of having them adopted.

But according to Chenango County District Attorney Joseph McBride that seventh dog was not abused so the court ordered it returned to Thompson, against McBride's objection. Thompson's trial has yet to be scheduled.
