Woman Indicted in Binghamton Murder and Robbery

By FOX 40 Staff.
A Binghamton woman has been indicated for second degree murder in connection with the death of a man whose body was found in a Mather Street apartment.

Edwards was arraigned Wednesday and is facing two counts of felony second-degree murder and two counts of felony first degree robbery.

It is alleged Edwards and her co-defendant, Bradley S. Miles, caused the death of Michael C. Thomas, on August 22nd, 2015. Authorities were called to the apartment on September 8th to investigate a possible death.

Authorities say that during the robbery, the victim suffered knife wounds that resulted in his death.

Miles, also indicted last week on the same charges, will be arraigned Thursday.

“Heinous crimes have no place in Broome County,” said District Attorney Steve Cornwell. “Murder cases will receive the most aggressive possible prosecution, as we fight to take dangerous criminals off the streets and send them away to State Prison.”
