By FOX 40 Staff.
Bail has been set for Amanda Hellmann, one of the alleged kidnappers of two Town of Binghamton teens from 2015.

A Broome County Court set $5000 cash or $10,000 property bond. She currently remains in Broome County Jail.

29-year-old Amanda Hellmann was charged with felony kidnapping in the second degree. Hellmann is accused of abducting then-13-year-old Shaeleen Fortner and her sister, Kylea Fortner, then 15, on April 27, 2015. On March 10th, Hellmann pleaded not guilty to the felony second degree kidnapping.

On March 11th, the mother of two teenage girls, Cindy Fortner, was also charged with second degree kidnapping. According to authorities, Fortner was allegedly in a relationship with Hellmann and aided and abetted in the kidnapping.

No further court date is set for Hellmann, but is expected to go in front of a Grand Jury. The date for Fortner’s bail hearing has not yet been set.
