By Faith Jessie.
One man is injured and another is in custody after a Sunday morning stabbing in Binghamton.
Binghamton police responded to reports of a break in and domestic dispute at 593 State St. around 6:00 am.
According to Lt. Senio, a dispute between the suspect, his girlfriend and another man resulted in the suspect stabbing the man 3 times in his back.
Upon arrival to the scene police say the suspect fled and the victim was not cooperative.
The victim was sent to Wilson hospital to be treated for the stab wounds; however police say he walked out of the hospital before being discharged.
Police found the suspect at a nearby street shortly after and he was taken into custody.
He is facing multiple charges including violating his girlfriend's order of protection.
Police say the girlfriend and the children who were home at the time of the incident are safe.
