Community Walks To Raise Awareness of Multiple Sclerosis
By Brianna Case and Faith Jessie. Multiple Sclerosis Resources of CNY hosted their second annual Mission Steps Walk at The Oakdale Mall on Sunday.
Over 70 people came out wearing red to spread awareness of Multiple Sclerosis for MS Awareness day.
All of the participants fund raised for the walk to benefit the non-profit health agency hosting the event.
"Central New York has a high incidents and high frequency of MS, so we bring MS awareness down in this area in the Southern Tier and raise some money at the same time to support our program of service and education," said Annette Simiele, Mission Steps Walk.
Multiple Sclerosis Resources of CNY aims to create awareness and provide resources to improves the lives of individuals with multiple sclerosis.
The organization will host two more walks in Utica and Watertown next month.
