Community Rocks Back And Fourth To Support Mom's House

By Faith Jessie.
Community members rocked out in rocking chairs to help support a local charity.

Mom's House held their annual Rocker-thon on Saturday in efforts to support the services they offer to low-income single parents.

Participants came out to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Endwell to sit back and rock in chairs while enjoying some tunes from emcee Steve "That DJ Guy" Willet.

Mom's House says community support has a big impact on the organization's success.

"We get a lot of community support. They community is amazing and we have continuous support year after year and it makes a whole difference in our success," said Diane Avery, Office Manager at Mom's House.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Mom's House, a non-profit organization that offers free child care to low-income single parents enrolled in school full-time.
