Traffic Stop Leads to DWI Arrest for Waverly Woman
By Fox 40 Staff. A traffic stop in Barton led to a drunk driving arrest for a Waverly woman.
N.Y.S.P. said Jacqueline L. Wolcott, 51, was pulled over for speeding Sunday on State Route 34.
Police said Wolcott had a blood alcohol content or B.A.C. of .20 percent.
In New York, drivers caught with a B.A.C. level higher of .18 percent face harsher penalties. These include at least a six month suspension of their driver's license, fines and up to a year in jail. Fines and charges increase for repeat offenders.
