By Jason Weinstein.
A local baseball legend has died. Steve Kraly, a former Yankee and long-time BMets official scorer, has passed away at the age of 86.

He helped lead the Binghamton Triplets to an Eastern League title in 1953, amassing a 19-2 record. He made his major league debut later that season on his way to earning a World Series win with the Yankees.

Kraly was a part of the Binghamton Mets franchise since it's first game in 1992, serving as official scorer through the 2014 season. He is scheduled to be inducted into the Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame on April 18th.
