A Meth Related Arrest Out of EndicottPosted:
The Endicott Police Department reports that on February 19th, its patrol members responded to an apartment located at 13 Lincoln Avenue in the Village of Endicott for a report of a disturbance.
Authorities say that patrol members saw indications of an active methamphetamine manufacturing operation. Members of the Broome County SIU Task Force were called to the scene to assist. They noticed precursors, reagents and solvents of a meth lab to include, sodium hydroxide, anhydrous ammonia, ether starting fluid, etc.
Meth laboratory equipment used to produce a finished meth product, to include approximately 8 fluid ounces of methamphetamine oil produced through the “One Pot” or “Shake and Bake” method of methamphetamine manufacturing were also reportedly discovered.
On Thursday, members of the Broome County SIU Task Force report that they located and arrested 32-year-old William R. Wellman, Jr. of Endicott for his role in the meth lab on the night of February 19th.
Wellman, Jr. was held at the Endicott Police Department Thursday until his arraignment today in the Village of Endicott Court. He was subsequently remanded to the custody of the Broome County Sheriff’s Correctional Facility Friday without bail.
