Vestal's Kosar headed to South Africa for International Cup

As an amateur golfer the hope is that someday you might get to play one of the courses seen on TV in a PGA event. Vestal's Ryan Kosar won a tournament at Turning Stone to clinch a spot for the US Amateur Finals at Pinehurst. He won that tournament too. Now he's headed to George, South Africa for the BMW Golf Cup International.

"It's still something surreal enough I don't even think I'm playing," Kosar said. "But if I was able to be one of the finalists over there, to actually win it, which the US has never done, I hope we can get closer to winning it, maybe place second or third. But to actually win it would be amazing. Beyond my wildest dreams."

The tournament will run Wednesday through Friday.
