Bearcats near unbeatable at home

If given the choice to play at home or on the road, almost every team at any level of any sport will tell you they want to play at home. The Binghamton University Bearcats are no different having dominated their home court all season.

The Bearcats are 10-3 at home and just 3-12 on the road. While their road record leaves a lot to be desired their home record is a sense of pride and a point of emphasis for Head Coach Linda Cimino all year. Certainly looking ahead to BU hosting the America East Tournament next weekend, is a definite plus.

"When you play at home, these are your rims, you're shooting in this gym every day. I think it's just easier. It's like a routine," Cimino said. "Sometimes you go on the road you're in a hotel all day, you leave for an hour to shoot around, you check out at 3:00, you play at 7:00, it's a difficult transition. I'm really happy we're fortunate enough to host the tournament here in a week and a half."

The first two rounds of the America East Tournament will be played at the BU Events Center March 5th and 6th with the Finals the following weekend at the highest remaining seed. Before then though, the Bearcats finish out the regular season on the road against Maine on Saturday.
