Suspect Wanted in Gas Station Theft

Binghamton Police are looking for a knife wielding man who allegedly stole cash from a Conklin Ave gas station.

On February 6th at approximately 6:20 PM, a male wearing dark clothing, gloves and a mask, and armed with a knife, entered the Mirabito store located at 152 Conklin Ave and stole money from the cash register.

Security camera footage shows the suspect walk up to the clerk with what appears to be a knife in his right hand. The suspect then reaches over the counter, grabs cash from the register, and runs out of the store being pursued by the clerk.

The store clerk pursued the suspect on foot and a physical altercation ensued, after which the suspect escaped and was last seen running south on Telegraph St.
