Apple Warns Consumers About Possible FBI Privacy Breech
By Brianna Case. Apple sent out a warning on their website saying that the government wants to breach the security of apple product holders.
In part of their article, Apple said, "The FBI is proposing an unprecedented use of the all writs act of 1789 to justify an expansion of its authority. The government would have us remove security features and add new capabilities to the operating system, allowing a pass-code to be input electronically."
Apple worries that unlocking this encryption technology could allow anyone can get a hold of it which could have negative outcomes for consumer privacy.
Apple is currently opposing this order and hopes this letter will call for public discussion and help people understand what is at stake.
