Man Arrested in Possession of 12 Stolen Credit Cards

A Town of Union man has been arrested for possessing twelve stolen credit cards and selling heroin.

The Broome County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division, with the assistance of the New York State Police, has arrested Taylor D. Brown, 22 year old male of the Town of Union.

Brown is accused of possessing twelve credit cards that had been reported stolen.

Early Monday morning, the Broome County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Robinson Hill Road in the Town of Union for a reported burglary. The victim reported to responding deputies that several credit cards and an undisclosed amount of cash were stolen.

Several hours after the reported burglary, while investigating an unrelated incident, the New York State Police came into contact with Brown. During his police contact, Brown was found to be in possession of multiple credit cards and an undisclosed amount of cash.

An investigation revealed that the credit cards belonged to the victim of the early morning burglary, and Brown was turned over to the Broome County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division.

Police say Brown had provided multiple bags of heroin to another person while at a residence in the Town of Union. As a result of the investigation, Brown has been charged with one count of Felony Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance, twelve counts of Felony Criminal Possession of Stolen Property.

Brown was arraigned in the Town of Union Court and remanded to the Broome County Sheriff’s Office Correctional Facility without bail.
