Bearcats inch closer to fifth seed in America East

After a road win last Thursday against Hartford the Binghamton Bearcats are just one win behind Maine for fifth place in the conference. Should they catch the Black Bears their first round in the playoffs will be slightly easier even if they seem to have run out of time to get a home game in the opening round.

"I think fifth is probably our max so we don't have an opportunity to get a home game. But our goal is just to finish strong and climb that ladder one game at a time and we were able to do that by beating Hartford. But also, other teams are going to win games too because they play each other. When you're playing against that group of teams all you can do if you want to control your fate and control your seeding is to beat those teams that you're competing for seeding against."

BU travels to Vermont on Wednesday.
