State Police Release Results from Super Bowl Crackdown

The Carolina Panthers weren't the only ones feeling badly after the Super Bowl.

New York State Police issued nearly 4,700 tickets and made 92 DWI arrests as part of the agency's Super Bowl Weekend Stop-DWI campaign. The crackdown took place from 2:00pm Saturday, February 6th until midnight Sunday February 7th.

Among the tickets issued were nearly 1,800 for speeding, 101 for distracted driving, and 141 for seatbelt violations. State Police also investigated 157 accidents with 29 injuries but no fatalities.
