Routine Traffic Stop Reveals Over 100 bags of Heroin

A routine traffic stop resulted in a drug bust on Saturday.

Broome County Sheriff's say they pulled over Qulon Cooper, 35, of Brooklyn for a window tint violation in the Town of Dickson around noon.

Sheriff's say Cooper, who is now residing in Johnson City, had a suspended New York State Driver's license. Upon further investigation authorities discovered marijuana, hydrophone pills, and four packets of heroin in Cooper's vehicle.

While Cooper was in the back of the patrol car police noticed him leaning forward with his hands down his pants. Deputy's found a plastic bag that contained another 87 bags of heroin on the seat of the car where Cooper was sitting. Once inside, the Sheriff's office Deputy's found another 10 bags of heroin in Cooper's underwear.

Cooper is charged with multiple drug charges, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, and a window tint violation.

He was arraigned in the Town of Fenton Court and is now in the Broome County Jail without bail.
