Bearcats look to win out at home

Wednesday night's 54-47 upset win over Stony Brook is a huge confidence boost for the BU women's basketball team. It turns out, it was part of the team's goal to finish the season they way they started by winning at home. The Bearcats are 7-2 at the Events Center this season and prior to Wednesday's home game talked about winning their final five home contests. With one down, and four to go, even if the Bearcats drop their final two road games, they'll finish the conference season at 9-6 and should be towards the top of the conference.

"We talked all week about the 'drive for five,' winning our last five home games," said Linda Cimino, head coach. If we win our last five home games we'd be in a really good spot in the playoffs. So they believe right now. They're believing, they're confident. That's what you want. You want a little bit of confidence, a little bit of edge."

BU travels to New Hampshire on Saturday.
