The Town of Union is working with Johnson City on
code enforcement.

The Village of Johnson City Board unanimously voted Tuesday night to form a shared services study committee.

That committee will reassess a 5-year agreement they had with the Town of Union, which put them in charge of code enforcement.

Fox 40 spoke the Town of Union's supervisor on this agreement.

"We want to continue our working relationship with Johnson City in regards to code," said Town of Union Supervisor, Rose Sotak.

"We want to keep up on all of our code issues. We have been meeting throughout the years. The mayor [of Johnson City] last night wanted a committee formed and we talked about it already tonight and we have a board member that will be going on that committee."
