Security Mutual Building Illuminated for American Heart month

With the beginning of February the American Heart Association is urging everyone to wear red this Friday in recognition of American Heart Month. Heart disease the number one killer of both men and women in the United States today. Today security mutual in Binghamton announced it will light it's building red in honor of heart health. Friday, the American Heart association is encouraging everyone to wear red for it's "Go Red for Women" campaign.

"Heart disease is 80 percent preventable, diet, exercise, not using tobacco, and actually seeing your doctor. So that's why we're encouraging women and all people this month to make sure that they are seeing their doctor." says Gina Chapman, the Director for the American Heart Association of the Southern Tier.
