Cornwell: Endicott Shooting was "Accidental"

By FOX 40 Staff.
There is an update on the reported shooting in Endicott that occurred Saturday morning.

It is alleged the suspect/victim was wounded by a self-inflicted, apparently accidental, gunshot with an illegal firearm.

“It’s important for Endicott residents to know there is no active search for a shooter in this case, because according to witness statements, the 23-year-old Endicott man accidentally shot himself,” said Broome County District Attorney Steve Cornwell. “Staying informed and up-to-date on public safety issues is a priority of our Office, especially in alleged crimes involving weapons.”
