Film Casting Gave Local Actors a Shot At Their Dreams

By Fox 40 News Staff.
Those with aspirations to make it on the big screen in Hollywood have to start somewhere. On Saturday, those people had the chance to audition for a film called "Bella Notte".

DT Productions and OverAchiever Films hosted the casting at the Oakdale Mall today looking for people to fill the roles of the 1930's prohibition and mobster style film.

Most of the film's trailer was shot in Binghamton which attracted many local artists.

"Big things can come from small towns. The community has been just awesome and we cannot wait to just really showcase what this town has to offer," said Casting Director, Tailia Moore.

The film explores the life of gangster Al Gianello who moved to upstate New York in efforts to escape mob connections in NYC. He soon finds out that upstate has its own mob connections and has to fight to gain respect in his new life.

Those who are interested in auditioning but may have missed this one can visit Bellanottethemovie.com to get more information on a private casting session.

A Trailer Gala for the film will be held at the Firehouse Stage in Johnson City on February 6th from 7:30 p.m to 10:30 p.m.
