Search Warrant Leads to Drug Arrest in Johnson City

A man has been arrested after investigators recovered 25 envelopes containing heroin in Johnson City.

On Tuesday, Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force conducted a search at an address located on Lewis Street. Upon the search, investigators found 25 envelopes of heroin, loose heroin, and materials used to package and distribute heroin. Police also found a .32 caliber revolver while inside the residence.

Following the search, Cordell Palmer was taken into custody. According to Police, Palmer is being charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a class B Felony, Criminal Possession of a weapon in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Palmer is being held at the Johnson City Police Department pending his arraignment.
