Car Accident Kills Two People In Montrose

Two people were killed in a car accident Sunday morning in Susquehanna County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The accident occurred on State Route 29 in Montrose around 6:30 a.m.

Gibson Police say that a 2007 GMC carrying three passengers was traveling southbound on State Route 29 when it went off the west side of the roadway and into a ditch between Davis Rd. and Lake St.

The vehicle struck a culvert with the front passenger side of the truck and then rolled over landing on the passenger side.

Police say two of the three occupants were dead at the scene. The other occupant was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Pennsylvania State Police say that the crash is still under investigation.
